About us

Bohemia Manor Farm is not just a winery; it is a picturesque venue overlooking the Bohemia River, offering a blend of historic charm and modern luxury. With a state-of-the-art production facility, a spacious tasting room with a ballroom, and a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces for entertainment, the estate promises an unforgettable experience for any occasion.
The vineyard, with nearly 60,000 vines producing a range of high-quality grapes, has become a key element in the creation of award-winning wines. The open layout of the venue, framed by rolling vineyards and the scenic Bohemia River, provides a canvas for crafting unique and elegant events.

The History of Bohemia Manor Farm

September 1660

Augustine Herman's Proposal

Augustine Herman offered to produce a map of the region for Lord Baltimore in exchange for a grant of land. The offer was accepted, and the grant was made in September 1660, initiating Herman's 10-year effort to create the map.

June 16th, 1662

Land Grant

Augustine Herman was granted 4,000 acres on the Bohemia River, which became known as Bohemia Manor Farm.

1670

Completion of the Map

Augustine Herman completed his map of the region, establishing the outline of what is now the state of Maryland.

1920

Construction of Bohemia Manor House

Senator Thomas Bayard built a 12,750 sq. ft. Georgian-style brick home, now known as Bohemia Manor House.

Restoration of Manor House

The Manor House was fully restored to its original glory, maintaining the same architecture as when it was originally built.

2014

Establishment of Vineyard

Bohemia Manor Farm vineyard was created with 22 acres of vines. A state-of-the-art production facility and a wine tasting room overlooking the Bohemia River were also established.

2024

Expansion by Vivamee

Vivamee acquired Bohemia Manor Farm and expanded the farm to include a restaurant, dock bar, overnight guest housing, and opened the Manor House to the public for the first time.

Experience Bohemia Manor’s wine, history, and charm! Join us for our Tour & Taste experience, where you’ll indulge in 4-5 wine tastings and a delicious charcuterie board (shared between two guests). About Gabriel

Gabriel Santiago Rubilar is an Argentinian Master Winemaker specializing in premium boutique wineries. He has more than 16 years of experience crafting unique wines from Argentina Mendoza Uco valley ( Trivento, Niesto Senetiner, Estancia Mendoza) to California ( Lynmar Estate ) and the east coast of the USA. With over 85 of his wines awarded nationally and internationally, Gabriel set his focus on connecting the terroir of each vineyard with the customer. "I am passionate about the diversity and the honesty a wine can share with every sip, the story behind each bottle, where most of the time, the " old" is more appreciated, but the " new " can always surprise.
